Licence agreement - Adexo Sim

Please read this agreement before installing Adexo Sim. By clicking "I accept the agreement" and installing the software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, click "Cancel".

1. What you may do

Adexo Learn grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Adexo Sim on computers in your own household or classroom, so that children in your care can practise exam papers.

2. Exam papers

Free sample papers come with Adexo Sim. Other papers are sold or given to you separately and may be locked to your computer's Computer ID. Each paper is licensed for the people and computers it was issued to. You may print papers for the children in your care. You may not copy, share, sell, publish or upload papers, or try to unlock papers that were not issued to you.

3. What you may not do

You may not:

copy, sell, rent, lend or redistribute Adexo Sim, except by sharing the official download link;
reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, or try to remove its paper protection, except where the law expressly allows it;
remove or change copyright notices, names or logos.

4. Your data and privacy

Children's names, answers and results are stored only on this computer, in your Windows user folder (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Adexo Sim). Adexo Sim does not send this information to Adexo Learn or to anyone else. Written answers are marked by a parent or teacher on this computer. You can delete a child or a result at any time from the Parent section, and remove all data by deleting that folder.

5. Open-source parts

Adexo Sim includes open-source components (such as Qt / PySide6 and Python). They are covered by their own licences, listed in the file THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt in the installation folder. Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under those licences.

6. Updates

Adexo Learn may offer updates. Installing an update keeps your children's results.

7. No warranty

Adexo Sim is provided "as is". Adexo Learn works hard to make the papers and marking accurate, but does not guarantee that the software or papers are free of errors, or that using them will lead to any particular exam result.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Adexo Learn is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from the use of Adexo Sim. Adexo Learn's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the software or paper concerned.

9. Ending this agreement

This licence ends automatically if you break these terms. You can end it at any time by uninstalling Adexo Sim.
