Who we are

Adexo Sim, Adexo Studio and the website adexolearn.com are provided by Adexo Learn ("we", "us"). You can contact us at support@adexolearn.com.

1. The Adexo Sim app

What the app stores, and where

To work, Adexo Sim stores the following only on your computer, in your Windows user folder (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Adexo Sim):

• each child's name and grade, and optionally their birthday, class, school, favourite colour and picture choice;
• the tests they take: their answers, scores, stars, badges and dates;
• your settings; your Parent PIN, recovery code and children's secret codes are stored only in a scrambled, non-reversible form;
• the exam papers you add.

This information is never sent to us or to anyone else. Adexo Sim has no user accounts, no adverts, no tracking and no analytics, and it works without an internet connection.

Read aloud

Read aloud uses the voices built into Windows on your computer. The text is not sent over the internet by Adexo Sim.

Written answers

Written answers are marked by a parent or teacher on the computer. They are not sent anywhere for marking.

Computer ID

Each installation creates a random Computer ID, used to lock purchased papers to your computer. It is made from a random security key and contains no personal information: not your name, the children's names, or details of your computer. It is only sent to us if you choose to send it when ordering papers.

Deleting information

You can delete a child or a result at any time in the Parent section. Uninstalling Adexo Sim keeps the results folder so that reinstalling does not lose them; to remove everything, delete the folder %LOCALAPPDATA%\Adexo Sim as well.

2. When you contact us or order papers

If you e-mail us, we receive your e-mail address, your message, and anything you choose to include, such as your Computer ID, your child's grade and the subjects you want. We use this only to answer you, to prepare and send the papers you order, and to help if a paper needs to be re-issued later.

We keep order details (e-mail address, Computer ID and the papers issued) for as long as needed to support your papers, and other e-mails for as long as needed to answer them. We do not sell or rent this information and do not use it for advertising. You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.

Please do not send us your children's results or other personal details about them; we do not need them.

3. This website

adexolearn.com has no user accounts, no contact forms, no advertising and no analytics or tracking cookies. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks. E-mail sent to our address may be handled by our e-mail provider on our behalf.

4. Children

Adexo Sim is made for children aged about 5 to 9, used with a parent or teacher. Because the app keeps everything on your own computer, we do not collect personal information from children. Parents control the app through the PIN-protected Parent section. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your personal information. To use any of these rights, e-mail support@adexolearn.com. We will answer within one month.

6. Security

The Parent section is protected by your PIN. Purchased papers are encrypted and open only on the computers they were issued for. Please keep your Parent PIN and recovery code private, and keep your computer protected with a Windows password.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how the app handles information, we will say so in the app's update notes.
